About our foundation

Scientific Initiatives for Healthy & Developed Zambia

Scientific Initiatives for Healthy and Developed Zambia (SiHDZ), pronounced "seeds," is a legally registered non-governmental organization based in Zambia. Founded in 2019 and officially registered in 2021, we operate with a secretariat in Lusaka and have growing outreach across multiple provinces.

We operate at the nexus of Science, Technology, and Community-driven solutions for Sustainable Development. Our mission is to build self-resilient, sustainably healthy, and developed communities by ensuring easy access to health and developmental socioeconomic opportunities.

Our Philosophy: "Local ideas matter." We believe that communities inherently understand their challenges and possess potential solutions. Our role is to identify, promote, and support these local ideas, initiatives, and innovations.
